"Things are not all as graspable and sayable as on the whole we are led to believe; most events are unsayable, occur in a space that no word has ever penetrated, and most unsayable of all are works of art, mysterious existences whose life endures alongside ours, which passes away." --Ranier Maria Rilke
I've been savoring Letters to a Young Poet by Rilke. It just doesn't get better. How ridiculously inspiring is this quote? I find myself restraining from underlining every single sentence. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. Its not a poetry book, its a life book.
Its been a good day. I moved, and walked back and forth from my old flat to my new flat four times. Sometimes (actually always) my stuff amazes me.
I finally uploaded the last of my pictures from South Africa, which was both a nice revisit, and incredibly difficult. So I'll leave you with this video from a festival I went to last October... p.s. if you're new to my ramblings, and you're wondering about my time in Cape Town, my last semester blog can be found here
I'm digging the digital Hurdy-Gurdy Man!
